Unemployment
Services Trust
501(c)(3)s have a unique exemption. They can elect to stop paying SUI taxes. Instead they pay only for their own unemployment claims, dollar-for-dollar. The New York Association of Alcoholism & Substance Abuse Providers, Inc. (ASAP) is proud to announce its recommendation of Unemployment Services Trust (UST) as a member benefit.
How Does it Work?
The Unemployment Services Trust was formed by nonprofits to help 501(c)(3)s with 10 or more employees safely leave the state unemployment tax system, then build an account to pay only for claims as they occur.
Why Unemployment Costs Can’t Be Ignored
ASAP members that want to avoid potentially paying higher unemployment taxes now and next year, should consider Unemployment Services Trust. Unemployment Services Trust is currently serving more than 2,100 nonprofit organizations nationwide.
